On a TV Commercial Production, crew take on many roles within their departments. In the Wardrobe department, that’s often only a team of two or three for the whole shoot. The department head is called the Key Stylist who hires an assistant(s) who can basically perform all departmental roles: buyer, fittings & prep costumer, sewing alterations & breakdown, truck costumer, background coordinator, on set supervisor, and finally truck wrap, returns and final paperwork.

Yes, that’s a lot of hats.

So, there’s little time for photo-documenting the process but I’ve somehow managed to snap a photo or two outside of a fitting room over the years.
